About Kelly-Anne
A Life Inspired by Nature
I grew up in the beautiful countryside of England’s West Country, where a lifelong love of wildlife and the natural world quietly took root.
As a young adult, that passion led me into wildlife journalism and environmental conservation, spending many years writing about the natural world and the remarkable creatures that inhabit it. I loved helping others see the beauty and importance of wildlife, but it wasn’t until life became unexpectedly difficult that my relationship with nature truly changed.
Profound personal losses left me searching for healing, meaning and a way to rebuild my life. It was during this chapter that animals became more than creatures I admired; they became teachers in their own right. Their behaviour, resilience and quiet wisdom began to mirror lessons that I was ready to learn and apply to my own life.
Those experiences would eventually become the foundation of Wildlife Wisdom.
Creativity as a Way Home
Creativity has always been woven through my life.
Alongside writing, I studied a Contemporary Craft degree, specialising in ceramics. Working with clay became a deeply grounding practice, reconnecting me with the earth and the natural elements in a way that words alone never could.
My interest in healing also led me to train as a Reiki practitioner, where my work is deeply inspired by the restorative energy of nature. I often draw upon the qualities of landscapes, wildlife and the natural world as part of that healing process.
Painting, writing, pottery and Reiki may appear to be very different disciplines, yet for me they all begin in exactly the same place: slowing down enough to listen to nature.
A Life of Curiosity
Travel continues to shape the way I see the world.
Whether walking ancient woodland in Britain, wandering tropical landscapes in Bali or exploring quieter corners of the world in my campervan, I find endless inspiration in the relationship between people, place and nature.
Every landscape has its own wisdom.
Every culture has something to teach.
Every journey reminds me how much there still is to discover.
Wildlife Wisdom
Writing Wildlife Wisdom brought together everything I had been learning for years.
It became more than a book.
It became an invitation to see animals differently - not simply as creatures living alongside us, but as mirrors reflecting courage, resilience, acceptance and transformation.
My hope is that readers discover something of themselves within its pages and feel inspired to walk their own path with greater compassion, curiosity and trust.
Supporting Other Creatives
Alongside my own creative work, I also enjoy helping other authors bring their stories into the world.
With a background in journalism, editing and book design, I offer thoughtful editorial support that honours each author’s unique voice while guiding them through the publishing journey.
For me, this work is simply another way of nurturing creativity.
